Brown vs. Nomo (April 8)
Cold night it was in Boston for the season opening of the Ragin’ Cajuns. With that, Golden gloves were transform into All thumb Gloves. Carolina gets on the board first, after a Rentaria error, Singleton 1B, coach Levesque gives a IBB to Baerga, He gets Everett to K, put Bashing Kevin Brown gets a 1B and the 1st 2 points. Cajuns gets4 back in the bottom of the 3rd, Nomo 1B, Chavez sac hit, consecutive 1B by Perez and Rentaria, than with 2 outs Rolen and Schneider get consecutive 2B. After 3 4-2 Cajuns. The games stay the same til the 7th, when Carolina gets one back, BB to ph Menechino, than Drew hit to third but Rolen miss the ball, e5, after 2 outs, Millar gets HBP and Wilson 1B scoring Menechino, put Pujols get gunned down at the plate by Chavez. Cajuns gets 2 back in the B7, Perez walk, Pujols commit a 2 base error, Williams SacFly, than after 2 outs Schneider 2B again scoring Rentaria. 6-3 Cajuns. But yet again Carolina was up for a clutch time, Stewart on the mount gives up 4 runs, topped by the 3 runs shoot by Jordan. Carolina 7-6. Cajuns were unable to comeback.

Marquis vs. Castillo (April 9)
Unexpected pitching duel appended in Boston. Both Castillo and Marquis got offen in trouble but always seemed to get out of trouble by some divine intervention. Carolina got the 1st run of the game Drew draw a walk, after a wild pitch, he came to score on a Pujols 1B, Blue Suede did filled the bases afterward but could not get one more. In he 3rd, after a Double Play, Castillo 2B, Chavez BB, Perez 1B and Rentaria finally gets the RBI 1B. 1-1 after 3. Drew make it 2-1 for Carolina in the 7thwith a HR, again Cajuns relief do poorly. Gagne comes in relief in the 8th just to see Grace 1B than Singleton 2 outs 2B scoring a much needed 3rd for Carolina. Cajuns got 1 in the 8th and left the bases loaded in the 9th even with a tiered Sadler on the mount. (Rolen second clutch bases loaded situation in the same game, both dud)

Last game of the series saw yet again a pattern emerge from Carolina, who pick the lead in the first with a 2 runs blast from Pujols. 2-0 Carolina. They get a 3rd run in the 3rd when Menechino 2B, score Wilson. 3-0 Carolina. Cajuns get some chances but Bere seems to get the important out each time he is in trouble. Cajuns do wake up in the 6th, when Rentaria HR of Bere. 3-1 Carolina. But the big hurt come in the 7th, when an error to Bere open the valves for the Cajuns, Schneider gets the on with that error, he is followed by a 1B by Edgar Martinez (Mr. PH), than with 1 out Timo Perez HR clean the base. 4-3 Cajuns. Cajuns get 2 others in the 8th, to finally get the 1st home win of the season. Saving the face sort of.
