The Akitas won three close games that couldve gone either way as all were decided by one run.

Game One, Game Day 54
Satika scored 4 runs in the bottom of the first enroute to a 5-4 win.  A HR by Erubiel Durazo led the attack.   THe Thespians came back with Lopez homering inthe 5th and adding 3 more in the 6th on a HR by Grissom for a 4-4 game.  In the 7th, Womack doubled for the Akitas and scored on Abreu's single to cf for the 5-4 win.

Chico pitcher Kevin Millwood was ejected and subsequently suspended for 7 additional games for hitting Ch Jones in the 5th inning.

Game 2, Game Day 55
Satika backup catcher Josh Bard hit a solo homer in the 3rd for the first run of the game.

The Thespians answered int he 7th with 2 unearned runs off an error by 2b Easley.  Cabrera led off with a double to cf then with Graves pitching Jose Cruz walked.  Easleys error scored Cabrera and then Cruz scored on a fc with Grissom batting for a 2-1 Chico lead.

Then in the bottom of the ninth, Nixon led off with a walk followed by a double by Varitek.

Tatis struck out then Nixon scored on a fc by Biggio.  Then on a game ending controversial play, Tony Womack beat out Chico pitcher Boeringers attempt at a game ending DP while Varitek tagged the plate for a 3-2 Satika win.

Four Akita pitchers combined for a 2-hitter for a 2-1 win in game three. 

Satika 3bman Eric Chavez hit a solo homer in the 5th and then CHico replied with one of his own in the 6th for a 1-1 tie.     Julio Franco scored the winning run in the bottom of the 6th, with a single to rf and then scored on 2bman Easleys single to LF.

Halama pitched a great game for the Thespians allowing only 5 hits in 7 strong inns.
