Game 1-Roa v Hernandez
The Hitmen scored in the first on an RBI ground out by ARod.  A Jason Kendall single tied the game 1-1 in the third.  It stayed that way until the 6th, when Orlando Merced tagged his former teammate with a 3-run homer giving the Hitmen a 4-1 lead.  They added three more in the 8th as the Hitmen cruised 7-1.  Hernandez, Ugueth Urbina and Janie Walker held the 'birds to 5 hits.

Game 2: Hudson v Leiber
The Jailbirds jumped out in from on a sacFly by Bill Mueller then power hitting Ramon Santiago plated two more with a home run to LF making it 3-0.  That would more than enough for Jailbird ace Tim Hudon, who was brilliant, but effective.  He gave up 12 hits, but only two Hitmen reached home plate.  Santiago plated another run in the 3rd and Robert Fick hit a SacFly to provie the final runs in the 5-2 Missouri victory.

Game 3-Perez v Maddux
There were fireworks in this game...unfortunately it wasn't from either teams bats.  In the 2nd, Missouri took the lead on a Robert Fick rbi single.  Then things got ugly....Milton Bradley was plunked by Maddux to load the bases.  Bradley didn't like this and charged to mound igniting a bench clearing brawl.  When the melee was over, Maddux had to be removed from the game with an injured shoulder.  Bradley was tossed for instigating the brawl and has subsequently been suspended for 3 games.  Mike Timilin relieved Maddux and got out of a bases loaded jam without any further damage.  Steve Finley tied the game at in the bottom of the frame with a solo homer.  In the fifth, a Mike Matheny double scored Finley giving the hitmen a 2-1 lead, and a great relay by Missouri nailed Pete Bergeron at the plate to end any further damage.  However two runs would be enough as three Hitmen relivers limited the Jailbirds to only 2 hits over the last 7 2/3 innings.  Perez was the hard luck loser giving up only 4 hits in 8 innings.
