Shawn Greens 2 RBI double in the 4th was all the Cave needed to seal a shutout victory over the first place Akitas. Michael Young bunted home Damian Jackson in the top of the ninth. Wade Miller allowed on 5 hits, pitching on 3 days rest.

GAME 2, GAME DAY 28
Kazuhiro Sasaki came on in relief in the bottom of the 9th getting Chavez to ground out and then allowing a hit to RF by Durazo. With one out and Durazo at 1st, Lieberthal flid out to LF.
Then, in an exciting ending, Trot Nixon hit a deep drive to RF that went foul just inside the foul pole.
On the very next pitch, Nixon again slammed another deep drive to right that was caught with a leaping catch by Shawn Green just before it cleared the fence for a 3-2 victory.
