careless actions
thoughtless deeds
cut to the heart
reckless greed

how could i have done that
let my guard down
walls once so rigid
have been felled to the ground

secrets revealed
wounds cut so deep
hurts so severe
too painful to keep

memories ingrained
wishing they’d leave
anger now boiling
beginning to seethe

when will it end
